Turn an old phone into a watchful eye at home

Step 1

Choose the Viewer and Monitor

Prepare two phones and choose Monitor or Viewer on screen.

• Both phones can connect to the internet.
• The Monitor phone can remain connected to power.
• At least 6 GB of storage is available.

Step 1

Register the Viewer

On the first phone, select Viewer and register an account to get a QR Code

1. When registering with email and password, verify the email address after registration.
2. The verification email may appear in the spam folder. Look for mail from Tomate Home Camera.
3. When using a social account, sign in to the Monitor with the same account.

Show the pairing QR code

On the first phone, select Viewer and register an account to get a QR Code

Step 1

Scan the QR code with the Monitor

On the second phone, select Monitor and open the scanner

Step 3

Check Monitor settings

Scan the QR Code to finish pairing

1. Continue recording: Enable recording to save live video.
2. Motion recording: Automatically record when motion is detected.
3. Motion snapshot: Automatically take a snapshot when motion is detected.
4. Check that motion detection and cloud storage are enabled in the upper-right corner.
5. Check that enough storage space is available.

Select an online device

Select an online Monitor from the Viewer to open the live view.

Step 2

Reconnect if the connection drops

Select an online Monitor from the Viewer to open the live view.

1. Press Refresh to restart the service.
2. Open Paired Devices and confirm that the Monitor is online. If it is missing, the Monitor is offline or not registered.
3. Select the Monitor to try connecting again.
4. If the connection is unstable, use Reconnect Remote Device to reconnect to the same Monitor.
